The Ribotta, a Vermentino di Sardegna, has an intense and fruity nose with notes of exotic fruit, apple scones and especially pear, which give this delicate wine a unique flavour.

Bertin, with its ruby colour and purple reflections, has an intense nose with ripe fruit and a gentle aroma with a bitter edge to its flavor that distinguishes this beautiful Carignano del Sulcis.

The two wines grow and mature in clay soil, rich in limestone content and enjoy a hilly exposure with plenty of sunshine which is favoured by the vines and facilitates a perfect ripening of the grapes.

Today, 1,500 litres of Carignano 2016 are resting in Slavonian oak barrels, waiting to become our ‘Riserva’.  Another 15,000 litres of Carignano 2015, which will be the first ‘Vigna du Bertin Reserve’ is already bottled and is waiting to leave our cellar in early 2018 under a new name which is currently a closely guarded secret…
